For animal-lovers like ourselves, it was delightful to see how well Rikke and Frank provide for all their animals with love and respect. Located just 3.4 km from Elia Sculpture, Den Japanske Have B & B provides accommodation in Herning with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. Very rarely do I give as 10/10 but this place deserves it well. I especially liked the Japanese decor, the attention to detail throughout the accommodation and garden is fantastic, it's the best Japanese themed building I've been to outside Japan. The common area with coffee machine, reading chairs and tables is great, there's also a large communal fridge. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, I liked sleeping with the window open to hear the waterfalls trickling all night. Easy parking and plenty of it, it's in a good area so street parking would be safe. A few minutes walk from a supermarket and the train station for regular trains to Hjerning and Aarhus. Very friendly owner (Niels) who speaks good English. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
